CWA LOCAL 4900 REPRESENTS MEMBERS FROM SEVERAL COMPANIES. LOCAL UNION REPRESENTATIVES ARE INVOLVED IN MANY FIELDS OF REPRESENTATION. SAFETY, FEDERAL AND STATE LEGISLATION, MINORITY CONCERNS, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE PURSUED BY THE LOCAL. THE LOCAL PROVIDES DUE PROCESS FOR MEMBERS. LOCAL 4900 IS INVOLVED IN MANY ENDEAVORS, RANGING FROM LEGISLATIVE TO CONTRACTUAL IMPROVEMENTS, TO IMPROVE OUR MEMBERS' EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AND PROVIDE FOR STRONG COMMUNITIES.

REPRESENTATION: OFFICERS HANDLE ENFORCEMENT OF CONTRACT AGREEMENTS, MEMBER GRIEVANCES, SET AND ADMINISTER MEETINGS, PROGRAMS, MEMBER BENEFIT QUESTIONS, ETC. FOR OVER 1400 MEMBERS.


TRAINING: MEMBERS ATTEND CONFERENCES, SCHOOLING, AND TRAINING TO FURTHER SKILLS. MEMBERS WERE SENT FOR WORK RELATED TRAINING.


MOVEMENT BUILDING: OFFICERS AND MEMBERS ATTEND CONFERENCES AND CONVENTIONS, GET INVOLVED WITH IMPROVING LEGISLATION, JOIN COMMUNITY GROUPS COMMITTED TO CHANGE, COMMUNITY SERVICE AT THE LOCAL LEVEL TO BENEFIT THE WORKING FAMILIES.
