EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE: LINK VOLUNTEERS MADE 3,338 DELIVERIES, PROVIDING FOOD FOR 11,578 PEOPLE; $127,135 IN GROCERY GIFT CERTIFICATES WERE ALSO INCLUDED WITH THESE DELIVERIES. EACH QUALIFYING FAMILY IS GIVEN ABOUT THREE TO FIVE DAYS' SUPPLY OF NON-PERISHABLE FOOD AND A CERTIFICATE TO PURCHASE PERISHABLE FOOD.
HOLIDAY PROGRAMS: LINK PROVIDED 1,487 FAMILIES (8,308 INDIVIDUALS) FOOD, A TOY FOR THEIR CHILDREN (AGE NEWBORN - 14) AND GROCERY GIFT CARDS. OVER 35,000 POUNDS OF FOOD, 3,783 TOYS, AND $73,690 IN GROCERY GIFT CERTIFICATES WERE DISTRIBUTED.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: LINK PROVIDES EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THROUGH REFERRALS FROM LOUDOUN CARES AND FAIRFAX COUNTY COORDINATORS SERVICE PLANNING AGENCIES. THE ASSISTANCE IS USED TO PREVENT RESIDENCE EVICTION OR UTILITY DISCONNECTION OF SERVICES. APPROXIMATELY 170 FAMILIES WERE SERVED.
