AN ALL-VOLUNTEER NON-PROFIT COALITION OF CHURCHES PROVIDING FOOD AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE IN NEED IN THE HERNDON, STERLING, AND ASHBURN COMMUNITIES OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA.

FOOD ASSISTANCE LINK VOLUNTEERS MADE 3,891 DELIVERIES, PROVIDING FOOD FOR 19,487 PEOPLE. 156,200 IN GROCERY GIFT CARDS WERE ALSO INCLUDED WITH THESE DELIVERIES. EACH QUALIFYING FAMILY IS GIVEN ABOUT 3 TO 5 DAYS SUPPLY OF FOOD AND A GROCERY GIFT CARD TO PURCHASE OTHER ITEMS.


HOLIDAY PROGRAMS LINK PROVIDED 843 FAMILIES 5,626 INDIVIDUALS FOOD, A TOY FOR THEIR CHILDREN AGE NEWBORN - 16 AND GROCERY GIFT CARDS. OVER 23,600 POUNDS OF FOOD, 6,000 TOYS, AND 58,720 IN GROCERY GIFT CARDS WERE DISTRIBUTED


FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE LINK PROVIDED EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THROUGH REFERRALS FROM LOUDOUN CARES AND FAIRFAX COUNTY COORDINATORS SERVICE PLANNING AGENCIES. THE ASSISTANCE IS USED TO PREVENT RESIDENCE EVICTION OR UTILITY DISCONNECTION OF SERVICES. APPROXIMATELY 114 FAMILIES WERR SERVED.
