SMALL CAN REFRIGERANT PROGRAM: PROMOTES THE PROPER DISPOSAL OF SMALL CANS OF AUTOMOTIVE REFRIGERANT IN CALIFORNIA BY COORDINATING PUBLIC EDUCATION CAMPAIGNS AND REFRIGERANT CAN RECYCLING EVENTS IN THE STATE.
WOMEN IN AUTO CARE: AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE CAR CARE COUNCIL WITH A TWO-FOLD GOAL: TO ENCOURAGE WOMEN TO BECOME ACTIVE VEHICLE MAINTAINERS; AND TO PROMOTE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN IN THE AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AND SERVICES INDUSTRY. TO THAT END, WOMEN IN AUTO CARE PROVIDES DOZENS OF SCHOLARSHIPS ANNUALLY TO FEMALE STUDENTS STUDYING TO ENTER THE AFTERMARKET. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE PRESENTED DURING THE WOMEN IN AUTO CARE RECEPTION DURING AAPEX. WOMEN IN AUTO CARE ALSO GIVE AUTOMOTIVE COMMUNICATIONS AWARDS FOR COMPANIES/AGENCIES WHO PROVIDE AUTOMOTIVE INFORMATION TO WOMEN THROUGH OUTSTANDING ADVERTISING, MARKETING, AND PR EFFORTS.
