THE SOCIETY IS AN ORGANIZATION COMPRISED OF PUBLISHERS, PRINTERS, SCHOLARS, LIBRARIANS AND OTHERS INVOLVED WITH SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION. THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ADVANCE SCHOLARLY PUBLISHING AND COMMUNICATION AND THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ITS MEMBERS THROUGH EDUCATION, COLLABORATION, AND NETWORKING AMONG INDIVIDUALS IN THE FIELD. THE SOCIETY CONDUCTS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THROUGH AN ANNUAL MEETING, SEMINARS, WEBINARS AND WORKSHOPS DESIGNED TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION REGARDING SCHOLARLY PUBLISHING.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS -- ANNUAL MEETING, SEMINARS, WEBINARS AND WORKSHOPS DESIGNED TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION REGARDING SCHOLARLY PUBLISHING.


GENERATIONS FUND ENDOWMENT -- THIS ENDOWMENT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE FUNDING FOR THE SOCIETY'S INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLISHING PROFESSIONALS. THIS CAN INCLUDE THE SOCIETY'S FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM, MENTORSHIP PROGRAM, AND THE INITIATIVES OF THE DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE BUT MAY ALSO INCLUDE OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS DETERMINES FULFILLS THE MANDATE OF SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A STRONG PUBLISHING PROFESSION FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
