DESTINATION MARKETING INCLUDED $890,723 OF ADVERTISEMENTS PLACED IN VARIOUS MEDIA OUTLETS IN FY23 PROMOTING FREDERICK COUNTY AS A VISITOR DESTINATION GENERATING REQUESTS FOR 14,603 VISITOR INFORMATION PACKETS TO BE MAILED; $84,126 WAS SPENT ON GENERAL MARKETING, MEETINGS, CONFERENCES, TRADE SHOWS, AND MARKET RESEARCH TO INCREASE AWARENESS AND VISITATION; AND $110,912 TO OPERATE THE VISITFREDERICK.ORG WEBSITE AND ASSOCIATED DATABASES. IN 2022, $518.4 MILLION WAS SPENT IN FREDERICK COUNTY BY VISITORS.
