TO ORGANIZE ALL CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES OF THE PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO FURTHER COMMON OBJECTIVES AND TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF THE MEMBERSHIP, TO INCREASE WAGES, IMPROVE WORKING CONDITIONS THROUGH THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING PROCESS AND TO MAKE USE OF ALL LEGISLATIVE AND POLITICAL ACTION.

THE UNION CONTINUES TO MANAGE AND NEGOTIATE A LABOR CONTRACT COVERING ITS MEMBERS. THE OBJECTIVE OF THESE NEGOTIATIONS ARE TO PROVIDE MEMBERS WITH IMPROVED WORKING CONDITIONS, JOB PROTECTIONS, BETTER BENEFITS, AND FAIR WAGES.


THE UNION RESOLVES GRIEVANCES WITH RESPECT TO MEMBERS INTERNALLY OR BY REFERRING THEM TO ATTORNEY'S OR OTHER SPECIALISTS FOR ASSISTANCE. THE OBJECTIVE OF PURSUING THESE GRIEVANCES INCLUDE PROTECTING WORKERS JOBS, IMPROVING THE WORK CONDITION OF MEMBERS AND ENSURING THAT CONTRACT TERMS ARE ENFORCED.


THE UNION CONTINUES TO OPERATE AN ORGANIZING CAMPAIGN. THE MISSION OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO INCREASE MEMBERSHIP TO IMPROVE OUR ABILITY TO BARGAIN WITH MANAGEMENT AND IMPROVE THE WORKING CONDITIONS OF ALL CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE PRINCE GEORGES' COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM.
