THE FREE ENTERPRISE ALLIANCE - EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ON ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS INCLUDE INFORMING THE PUBLIC ABOUT GOVERNMENT REGULATION, AND TAXES, IN ADDITION TO EDUCATION REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING THROUGH VOTER REGISTRATION AND GET-OUT-THE VOTE DRIVES. THESE OUTREACH EFFORTS WERE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THE USE OF DIGITAL MEDIA SUCH AS WEB VIDEO, BLOGS AND OTHER TOOLS, AS WELL AS ON THE GROUND EDUCATION OF ABC MEMBERS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.
CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT- THE ASSOCIATION WORKS DIRECTLY WITH ITS 69 CHAPTERS TO IMPROVE STAFF MANAGEMENT SKILLS, ASSIST IN RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION EFFORTS OF MEMBERS, RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS AT THE CHAPTER LEVEL, AND INCREASE VOLUNTEER INVOLVEMENT AND COMMITMENT TO ABC.
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS- THE ASSOCIATION WORKS WITH LEGISLATORS AND REGULATORS ON THE FEDERAL AND STATE LEVEL TO FURTHER THE INTERESTS OF MERIT SHOP CONSTRUCTION AND TO PROTECT MERIT SHOP CONTRACTORS FROM LAWS AND REGULATIONS WHICH INHIBIT FREE ENTERPRISE.
