BAY AREA K GROUP (BAKG) HOSTED MONTHLY SEMINARS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. BAKG INVITED INDUSTRY EXPERTS TO DISCUSS AND LEARN ABOUT INDUSTRY TRENDS. PREVIOUS TOPICS INCLUDE DATA SCIENCE, MACHINE LEARNING, SELF-DRIVING TECHNOLOGY, SMART MOBILITY SERVICES, CLOUD/IOT, ETC. BAKG ALSO HOSTED AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE, K-NIGHT. DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC, THE CONFERENCE WAS THE VIRTUAL EVENT THAT WAS OPEN TO PUBLIC.DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC, BAKG SUPPORTED THE MEALS DELIVERY (OVER 7000 LUNCHES)TO THE HEALTHCARE WORKERS, SENIORS AND SPECIAL NEEDS FAMILIES WHO HAD BEEN IN TOUGHSITUATIONS AS THEY LOST ACCESS TO REGULAR LUNCH PROGRAMS. THIS CONTRIBUTION LEADEDTO LAUNCH ANOTHER MEAL FORWARD (A 501C3 NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION)TO CONTINUALLYSUPPORT PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY.BAKG COLLABORATED WITH OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE BAY AREA. ITESTABLISHED A PARTNERSHIP WITH SIMPLESTEPS (A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION SUPPORTINGWOMEN'S CAREER) AND HWARANG (A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION OF KOREAN-AMERICANMIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS)AND CO-HOSTED EVENTS SUCH AS CAREER WORKSHOPS ANDJUNIOR CODING SCHOOLS IN THE ONLINE.IN 2021, BAKG HOSTED THE CODING SCHOOL PROGRAMS.
