GIVE65: ONE IN SEVEN OLDER ADULTS IS LIVING IN POVERTY. MANY RELY ON THE NONPROFIT SECTOR FOR BASIC NEEDS LIKE MEALS, TRANSPORTATION, HOUSING, ACTIVITIES, AND MORE. GIVE65, THE SIGNATURE PROGRAM OF HOME INSTEAD CHARITIES, IS AN ONLINE GIVING PLATFORM COMMITTED TO HONORING ALL AGING ADULTS AND THEIR AGING JOURNEY BY PARTNERING WITH NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO INSPIRE GREATER CHARITABLE GIVING IN SUPPORT OF AGING ADULTS.
DISASTER RELIEF PROGRAM: WHEN A DISASTER IS PRESIDENTIALLY DECLARED, HOME INSTEAD CHARITIES PROVIDES IMMEDIATE RELIEF GRANTS TO CAREGIVERS AND KEY PLAYERS IMPACTED BY THE DISASTER. THE HOME INSTEAD NETWORK HELPS TO PROVIDE FUNDING.
BE A SANTA TO A SENIOR (BASTAS): THE BE A SANTA TO A SENIOR PROGRAM WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2003 WITH THE INTENT TO SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER TO ISOLATED AGING ADULTS WHO MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE RECEIVE A GIFT OR A VISIT DURING THE HOLIDAYS. SINCE THEN, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF AGING ADULTS HAVE BENEFITED FROM A WRAPPED GIFT OR A FRIENDLY VISIT DURING A SEASON THAT CAN FEEL LONELY.
