Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
PROGRAM REPORTING & EVALUATION:GRANT AWARDEES SUBMIT PROGRAM REPORTS THREE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE PROGRAM CYCLE, AND RECEIVE EVALUATIONS AT EACH POINT, WHICH CAN INCLUDE RECOMMENDATIONS TO ADDRESS PROGRAM CHALLENGES. THE EVALUATION SERVICES PROVIDED BY OUR UNIVERSITY PARTNERS HELP TO IDENTIFY PROGRAM OUTCOMES AND AREAS THAT MAY NEED ADDRESSED. AFTER RECEIVING THE EVALUATION, GRANT AWARDEES MAY ALSO BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ACTION PLANS AND PROGRESS REPORTS TO ENSURE THEY MEET PROGRAM GOALS BY YEAR-END. GRANT AWARDEES HAVE ACCESS TO FOUNDATION STAFF AND UNIVERSITY PARTNERS TO PROVIDE PROGRAM ASSISTANCE.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM:THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM HAS CONTINUED TO EVOLVE OUT OF OVER TEN YEARS OF LESSONS LEARNED AND THE SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF THE PILOT MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IN 2019. THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM INCLUDES A BI-MONTHLY WEBINAR LEARNING SERIES AND INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATIONS THAT PROVIDE CAPACITY BUILDING AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO GRANT AWARDEES. EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS COVER VARIOUS TOPICS TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS, SUCH AS REPORTING AND EVALUATION, SUSTAINABILITY, COMMUNICATIONS AND DISSEMINATION. PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING IS FOSTERED THROUGH THE PAIRING OF NEWLY-FUNDED ORGANIZATIONS WITH LONG-STANDING GRANT AWARDEE(S), WITH SUPPORT FROM FOUNDATION STAFF AND UNIVERSITY EVALUATION PARTNERS, TO HELP THEM IMPLEMENT SUCCESSFUL PROGRAMS AND WORK THROUGH CHALLENGES.
COMMUNICATIONS:THE FOUNDATION WORKS TO AMPLIFY THE WORK OF GRANT AWARDEE PROGRAMS AND SHARE LESSONS LEARNED THROUGH COMMUNICATIONS ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SOCIAL MEDIA, ITS ANNUAL REPORT, AN E-MAIL DISTRIBUTION TO THE FOUNDATION'S MAILING LIST OF OVER 2,000 INDIVIDUALS, VIDEOS AND BLOG POSTS. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS GRANT AWARDEES IN THEIR EFFORTS TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR THEIR PROGRAMS AND FURTHER BUILD CAPACITY IN COMMUNICATIONS THROUGH PROVIDING A MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTER TO GRANT AWARDEES WITH SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS AND RESOURCES, AS WELL AS TEMPLATES FOR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SOCIAL MEDIA AND PRESS RELEASES.
DISSEMINATION:THE FOUNDATION SHARES LESSONS LEARNED FROM ITS GRANTMAKING PROGRAM AND THE WORK OF ITS GRANT AWARDEES SO THAT OTHER PHILANTHROPIC AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS MAY ADOPT OR MODIFY THEM FOR THEIR OWN PROGRAMS. THIS WORK FOCUSED ON DRAFTING AN ARTICLE ON THE FOUNDATION'S MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR POTENTIAL PUBLICATION AS WELL AS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM TOOLKIT. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION OFFERS GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT TO ITS GRANT AWARDEES IN THEIR EFFORTS TO SHARE LESSONS LEARNED THROUGH DISSEMINATION PRODUCTS SUCH AS PROGRAM TOOLKITS, VIDEOS AND WEBINARS.
