THE SIERRA LEONE PROGRAM BEGAN BECAUSE OF THE CIVIL WAR IN SIERRA LEONE, WEST AFRICA WHICH ENDED IN 2001, LEAVING MANY ORPHANS AND AMPUTEES.IT'S PROGRAMS IN SIERRA LEONE HAVE EXPANDED TO HELP THOSE IN MOST NEED BY:(1) STRENGTHENING THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM THROUGH A CHARITY HEALTH NETWORK,(2) CARING FOR ORPHAN AND VULNERABLE POPULATIONS, AND(3) PROVIDING DISASTER RELIEF AND RECOVERY.THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED TO DEVELOP PROGRAMS JOINTLY WITH PARTNERS TO ACHIEVE THE 2015 UNGA SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS.
