KENMORE HALL: KENMORE HALL IS A 326 EFFICIENCY UNIT LOW INCOME HOUSING PROJECT IN NEW YORK, PRIMARILY FOR FORMERLY HOMELESS, SINGLE ADULTS. THE HALL'S ACTIVITIES CONSIST OF: (1) SOCIAL SERVICES FUNDED BY CONTRACTS WITH DHS AND HASA AND A GRANT FROM HUD AND (2) LOW INCOME HOUSING, SPECIFICALLY FOR RESIDENTIAL TENANTS WHOSE GOVERNMENT RENT SUBSIDIES ARE OBTAINED FROM HUD'S SECTION 8 PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY HPD. HSI OWNS A 99.9% LIMITED PARTNERSHIP INTEREST IN KENMORE ASSOCIATES LP WHICH OPERATES THE HALL. THE GENERAL PARTNER AND OTHER OWNER OF KENMORE ASSOCIATES LP IS KENMORE HOUSING CORPORATION, A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF KENMORE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FUND CORP WHICH IS AN EXEMPT ORGANIZATION RELATED TO HSI.


HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING SERVICES: HISTORICALLY, HSI HAS PROVIDED CONSULTING SERVICES TO PEER NEW YORK CITY NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SEEKING TO SPONSOR AND DEVELOP HOUSING FOR SPECIAL NEEDS POPULATIONS, INCLUDING LOW INCOME PERSONS, THE ELDERLY, THE HANDICAPPED, FORMERLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES LIVING WITH AIDS, VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND EX OFFENDERS.


SOCIAL SERVICE CONTRACTS: HSI HAS A CONTRACT WITH THE HIV/AIDS SERVICES ADMINISTRATION OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATION, A DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK, TO PROVIDE SCATTER-SITE HOUSING SERVICES FOR UP TO 100 CLIENTS, CONSISTING OF 75 SINGLE ADULTS AND 25 FAMILIES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED HOMELESSNESS AND LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, SITUATED IN UPPER MANHATTAN AND THE BRONX, NEW YORK.


PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES: HSI PROVIDES PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO THE LOW INCOME PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROJECTS KNOWN AS THE CECIL, KENMORE HALL, THE NARRAGANSETT, AND THE BEDFORD. THESE PROJECTS ARE OPERATED BY ORGANIZATIONS CONTROLLED BY HSI.
