SHRINERS BELIEVE IN GOD AND THAT HE CREATED MAN TO SERVICE HIS PURPOSE, AMONG WHICH IS SERVICE TO OTHERS IN HIS NAME. WE BELIEVE THAT CARE FOR THE LESS FORTUNATE, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN WHO SUFFER FROM BURNS AND CRIPPLING DISEASE, IS OUR INSTITUTIONAL CALLING. AS SHRINERS WE LOOK BEYOND OURSELVES TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF OTHERS, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN WHO CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES. WE BELIEVE SHRINERS HOSPITALS TO BE THE WORLD'S GREATEST PHILANTHROPY AND WE COVENANT WITH EACH OTHER TO SUPPORT ITS "TEMPLES OF MERCY" WITH SPIRIT, TIME, TALENT AND MEANS.

FRATERNAL ACTIVITIES CONSISTENT WITH OUR MISSION AND EXEMPT PURPOSE, BY PROVIDING AN OUTLET FOR MEMBERS TO ENGAGE IN FRIENDSHIP, FELLOWSHIP AND PERSONAL PHILANTHROPY CONSISTENT WITH THE SHRINERS CREED AND THE MASONIC TENENTS OF BROTHERLY LOVE, RELIEF, TRUTH, FAITH, HOPE AND CHARITY. THIS IS EVIDENCED BY THE NUMBER OF ACTIVE MEMBERS ENGAGED IN THESE ACTIVITIES, OF APPROXIMATELY 500 MEN OUT OF A MEMBERSHIP OF ABOUT 1,400.
TRANSPORTATION OF CHILDREN NEEDING THE SERVICES OF SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR ADULT COMPANIONS TO SHRINERS HOSPITALS IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS; ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA; CINCINNATI, OHIO. APPROXIMATELY 50 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES BENEFITTED FROM OUR ACTIVTIES AND THE UNCOMPENSATED VOLUNTEERS WHO GAVE OF THEIR TIME TO UNDERTAKE TRANSPORTATION DUTIES.
