MODERN MATURITY CENTER, INC. IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO PROVIDING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY FOR INDIVIDUALS AGE 50 AND OLDER.

MATURE NEIGHBORHOOD NUTRITION PROGRAM (MANNA) - PROVIDES ANYONE 60 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER WITH NUTRITIONALLY SOUND MEALS AT NUTRITION SITES AND AT HOME FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T ATTEND A SITE. A TOTAL OF 428,501 MEALS WERE SERVED TO SITES AND HOMEBOUND CLIENTS.
SCSEP - MANPOWER PROVIDES ADDITIONAL INCOME AND HAS HELPED OVER 60 OLDER PERSONS RETAIN A SENSE OF INVOLVEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY. THEY MUST BE 55 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER WITH LIMITED EARNINGS FOR A YEAR.
SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAM - PROVIDES BOTH ACTIVE AND PASSIVE INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS FORMS OF SELF-EXPRESSION AND PARTICIPATION FOR 6,500 MEMBERS. THE PROGRAM ALSO STIMULATES THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SKILLS AND INTERESTS.
THE RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM (RSVP) PROVIDES MEANINGFUL VOLUNTEER SERVICES TO OVER 1,750 OLDER ADULTS AT OVER 44 NON-PROFIT WORK STATIONS THROUGHOUT KENT COUNTY. ADULT DAY CARE PROVIDES A THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM FOR 50 FUNCTIONALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS 60 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO AVOID OR FORESTALL INSTITUTIONALIZATION. SOCIAL SERVICES BLOCK GRANTS (SSBG) ENABLES EACH STATE OR TERRITORY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ITS RESIDENTS THROUGH LOCALLY RELEVANT SOCIAL SERVICES. SSBGS SUPPORT PROGRAMS THAT ALLOW COMMUNITIES TO ACHIEVE OR MAINTAIN ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY TO PREVENT, REDUCE OR ELIMINATE DEPENDENCY ON SOCIAL SERVICES.
