SMALL BUSINESS START UP LOANS FROM NETWORK KANSAS WERE RECEIVED AND PASSED THROUGH IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,600, THE BORROWERS THEN REPAY THESE LOANS DIRECTLY BACK TO NETWORK KANSAS. THE MURAL GRANT WAS RECEIVED IN 2021, BUT NOT PAID OUT UNTIL 2022. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM DEVELOPMENT FUNDS WERE USED TO PUT ON PROGRAMMING FOR LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY, TO ASSIST THEM IN BEING MORE SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT, COMING OUT OF COVID 19. CLASSES, AND ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING IN MARKETING (SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING), RECORD RETENTION, DESTINATION CREATION, ETC., AS WELL AS YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT. UNFORTUNATELY, IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO KEEP EXACT NUMBERS FOR THESE TRAININGS, WORKSHOPS AND MENTORING SESSIONS, WITHOUT DUPLICATING, BUT WE HAVE ESTIMATED TO HAVE REACHED 243 DIFFERENT PERSONS IN OUR COMMUNITY, SOME MULTIPLE TIMES.
