GRANT PROGRAM - FULFILLING THE MISSION OF ARCH GRANTS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL AND OTHER ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE PRIMARY MEANS OF COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAMS, THE PURPOSES OF WHICH ARE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE LACK OF ACCESS TO ADEQUATE SOURCES OF CAPITAL, TO DEVELOP ENTREPRENEURS IN STARTUP BUSINESSES IN THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS, CREATE JOBS, COMBAT BLIGHT, AND CREATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. DURING 2021, 34 NEW GRANTS WERE AWARDED INCLUSIVE OF 16 RELOCATION GRANTS THROUGH THE ANNUAL STARTUP COMPETITION (34 FULL $50,000 AWARDS AND 16 RELOCATION GRANTS OF $10,000), IN ADDITION TO 6 FOLLOW-ON GRANTS TO PREVIOUSLY FUNDED COMPANIES THROUGH A NEW GROWTH GRANTS PROGRAM (6 FULL $100,000 AWARDS).
