TO SEEK FUNDS THROUGH GIFTS, DONATIONS AND OTHER MEANS, AND TO MANAGE AND DISTRIBUTE THOSE FUNDS IN A MANNER THAT WILL SUPPORT AND ADVANCE SELECTED PROGRAMS OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF WICHITA, INC.

THIS YEAR THE ROTARY CLUB OF WICHITA PARTICIPATED IN THE LITERACY PROGRAM, READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. WE PROVIDED 3 BOOKS PER YEAR TO STUDENTS IN 21 USD 259 TITLE I SCHOOLS AND SEVERAL CHILD START AND EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT SCHOOLS. WE PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 24,000 BOOKS TO ALMOST 10,000 STUDENTS. ROTARIANS DELIVER THE BOOKS TO THE CLASSROOM AND READ TO THE STUDENTS TO EMPHASIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF READING.
THE ROTARY CLUB OF WICHITA PROVIDES EVERY 3RD GRADE STUDENT IN USD 259 TITLE I SCHOOLS A BEAUTIFUL, LONG-LASTING, HARD COVER SCHOLASTIC DICTIONARY EACH YEAR. THIS YEAR WE DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 2,600 SCHOLASTIC DICTIONARIES TO CHILDREN FROM LOW INCOME FAMILIES.
