KC BLIND ALL-STARS PROVIDES ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY, SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, ATHLETIC EVENTS, AND EXTRA-CURRICULUR SPORTSA ALONG WITH EXPERIENCES IN MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS.

LOW VISION PROGRAM / KAN-LOVE-KIDS LOW VISION CLINICS AND EQUIPMENT THE LOW VISION PROGRAM PROVIDES EYE EXAMS TO PRESCHOOL AND SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF KANSAS WHILE PROVIDING EQUIPMENT TO VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS INCLUDING EYE GLASSES AND OPTICAL DEVICES.
ESY (EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR) PROGRAM KC BLIND ALL-STARS PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM, ALLOWING STUDENTS TO DEVELOP SKILLS IN ACCESS TECHNOLOGY, ORIENTATIONS AND MOBILITY, BRAILLE, SOCIAL SKILLS, INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS, AND CAREER EDUCATION.
SPACE CAMP FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED STUDENTS KC BLIND ALL-STARS SPONSORS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTENDING SPACE CAMP IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA WITH STUDENTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY ALONG WITH INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. STUDENTS ARE IMMERSED IN LEARNING ABOUT SPACE EXPLORATIONS, EARLY SPACE MISSIONS, AND HOW NASA PARTNERS WITH OTHER SPACE AGENCIES. THEY PARTICIPATE IN MISSIONS AND TRAININGS VIA SIMULATIONS IN THE SAME MANNER NASA ASTRONAUTS TRAIN.
