JUNIOR LEAGUE OF WICHITA, INC, IS AN ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO PROMOTING VOLUNTARISM, DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE. JUNIOR LEAGUE OF WICHITA, INC. REACHES OUT TO WOMEN OF ALL RACES, CREEDS, RELIGIONS, AND NATIONAL ORIGINS WHO DEMONSTRATE AN INTEREST IN AND A COMMITMENT TO VOLUNTARISM.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS-JUNIOR LEAGUE OF WICHITA, INC. (JLW) HAS MANY COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND HAS GIVEN NUMEROUS GIFTS TO OUR COMMUNITY. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, JUNIOR LEAGUE OF WICHITA PROVIDED $50,000 AND VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP TO SUPPORT FAMILY PROMISE OF GREATER WICHITA IN LAUNCHING A NEW PROGRAM THAT AIMS TO STABILIZE FAMILIES WHO ARE AT RISK FOR HOMELESSNESS. THE NEW STABILIZATION PROGRAM, A SUCCESSFUL MODEL THAT HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED IN OTHER COMMUNITIES, IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECEIVE ONGOING CASE MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT WITH OBTAINING LONG-TERM HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, COUNSELING, AND A VARIETY OF OTHER LIFE SKILLS. FAMILIES WILL ALSO BUILD SAVINGS AND WORK TOWARDS FINANCIAL STABILITY.
TRAINING & EDUCATION OF MEMBERS IS VITAL TO THE CORE MISSION OF THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF WICHITA BY DEVELOPING THE POTENTIAL OF WOMEN, AND IMPROVING COMMUNITIES THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTION AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS.
