TO PROMOTE IMPACTFUL GRANT MAKING, INVESTMENTS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNITIES OF COLOR THROUGH STRATEGIC PLANNING, EVALUATION, PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES.

ISED CONTINUED ITS PRESIDENTS FORUM SERIES, WHICH FOCUSES SPECIFICALLY ON RACIAL EQUITY BY DEVELOPING PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT AND LEARNING NETWORKS AMONG FOUNDATION LEADERS. THE INDEEP INITIATIVE ALSO CONTINUED TO SUPPORT ENVIRONMENTAL GRANTMAKERS IN CULTIVATING OPPORTUNITIES TO INCREASE FUNDING FOR ORGANIZATIONS LED BY PEOPLE OF COLOR, AS WELL AS TO STRENGTHEN GRANTEES ACROSS THE FIELD TO CREATE A MORE DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL MOVEMENT. ISED COMPLETED THE SECOND SEASON OF THE R.A.C.E. PODCAST, WHICH CENTERS ON A RANGE OF TOPICS ON EQUITY, POWER, CULTURE AND LEADERSHIP IN PHILANTHROPY. ISED ALSO SUPPORTED TWO GATHERINGS OF GRANTEES FOR THE OPEN FOR BUSINESS PROJECT, A NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS RECOVERY EFFORT WITH A FOCUS ON RACIALLY AND ETHNICALLY DIVERSE SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS WHO HAVE BEEN DISPORTIONATELY AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC FUNDED BY WELLS FARGO BANK. THIS PROJECT SUPPORTED SUCH SMALL BUSINESSES TO REMAIN OPEN, MAINTAIN JOBS, AND PLAN FOR THE FUTURE.
