OUR PURPOSE IS TO ENGAGE IN EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES REGARDING END-OF-LIFE OPTIONS. WE RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT AND ADVOCATE FOR PATIENT-DIRECTED END-OF-LIFE CARE INCLUDING THE OPTION OF MEDICAL AID IN DYING FOR THE TERMINALLY ILL. DURING A CHALLENGING YEAR, WE STAYED CONNECTED WITH SUPPORTERS. SOME OF THESE ACTIVITIES ARE DETAILED HERE: 1. USING ZOOM, WE'VE HELD: A. 8 PUBLIC TALKS REACHING AT LEAST 180 PEOPLE: TOWN HALL WITH VAL LOVELACE, DEATH OVER DINNER, BE AN ALLY, VISION 2021 TOWN HALL, ROTARY CLUB TALKS TO THE CHAGRIN HIGHLAND AND OBERLIN GROUPS, GREATER CLEVELAND NURSES ASSOCIATION EDUCATION PROGRAM AND SOCIAL WORK CLASS AT THE MANDEL SCHOOL AT CWRU B. A VOLUNTEER MEET & GREET AND SUBSEQUENT 3-WEEKLY VOLUNTEER TRAINING SESSIONS REACHING 33 PEOPLE C. 2 VIRTUAL FILM DISCUSSIONS AND 8 VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB DISCUSSIONS REACHING AT LEAST 65 PEOPLE. D. A VIRTUAL TABLE SESSION AT THE OHIO CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS CONFERENCE 2. AN OPINION PIECE IN THE PLAIN DEALER AND CLEVELAND.COM BY DAVID GOODMAN OF THE POLICY COMMITTEE. VIKKI MILLER PUBLISHED A LETTER TO THE EDITOR IN THE ENQUIRER AND CINCINNATI.COM AS WELL AS AN OPINION PIECE IN THE CLERMONT SUN. THESE WERE PUBLISHED AFTER NEW MEXICO'S LAW WAS PASSED. 3. INFORMATION PACKETS WERE SENT TO 36 LEGISLATORS IN ORDER TO RAISE AWARENESS AND PROVIDE FACT-BASED EDUCATION ABOUT MEDICAL AID IN DYING FOR THE TERMINALLY ILL. THESE WERE ALSO AFTER NM'S LAW WAS PASSED. 4. 2 POWERFUL SHORT VIDEOS FEATURING VIKKI MILLER, SUSAN MOUSSI AND DR. DIANA SPADE. THESE VIDEO COSTS WERE FUNDED BY THE LESLIE KELLER-BIEHL MEMORIAL FUND (WHICH TOTALS $26,807.72) AND A $3750 GRANT FROM DEATH WITH DIGNITY'S DIGNITY50 STATE LEADERSHIP INCUBATOR FUND. 5. SPONSORED TV AND RADIO ADS ON NORTHEAST OHIO'S NPR AND PBS STATIONS. THE RADIO AD PLAYED 2 TIMES A DAY FOR 2 WEEKS.
