(914) CARES, INC. WAS FOUNDED WITH THE GOAL OF HELPING NEIGHBORS STRUGGLING WITH EVEN THE MOST BASIC NEEDS: FOOD, CLOTHING, SHELTER, EDUCATION AND MEDICAL CARE. (914) CARES RAISES FUNDS, DONATIONS OF GOODS AND VOLUNTEER HOURS FOR THEIR PROGRAMS AND TO LOCAL NONPROFITS DOING EXTRAORDINARY WORK.

914 CARES IS AN ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO ERADICATE POVERTY IN WESTCHESTER. THEY HAVE MANY PROGRAMS WITH THE GOAL OF ACCOMPLISHING THIS MISSION. THE CLOTHING BANK IS A VOLUNTEER DRIVEN PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES UNDERSERVED WESTCHESTER COUNTY CHILDREN WITH CLOTHING AND RELATED ITEMS. THE BABY BANK IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES BASIC NECESSITIES AND ESSENTIALS FOR BABIES, 0-2, TO HELP FAMILIES IN NEED KEEP THEIR BABIES CLEAN, HEALTHY AND HAPPY. THE DIAPER BANK PROVIDED OVER 500,000 DIAPERS TO VARIOUS SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS TO HELP KEEP BABIES BOTTOMS DRY. THE PERIOD BANK PROVIDES GIRLS WITH PERIOD PRODUCTS SO THAT THEY CAN STAY IN SCHOOL. OVER 450 PERIOD KITS A MONTH WERE GIVEN OUT IN 2021. THE POVERTY SYMPOSIUM RAISES THE LEVELS OF DISCUSSION AROUND POVERTY IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY. THE LITERACY PROGRAM GAVE OUT OVER 50,000 BOOKS.
