THE WOMEN'S FUND IS A CATALYST TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF LOW-INCOME WOMEN AND GIRLS IN EAST TENNESSEE BY FOSTERING PHILANTHROPY AND MAKING GRANTS FOCUSED ON IMPROVING THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND GIRLS.

MADE SIX GRANTS IN THE AMOUNT OF 53,750 FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A STRONG NETWORK OF ORGANIZATIONS FOUCSED ON ACCESS TO EDUCATION AND TO REMOVING THE CULTURAL BARRIERS DISCOURAGING WOMEN AND GIRLS FROM ACHIEVING AND EDUCATION. INCLUDED IN THE EXPENSES OF 155,798 WAS THE PAYMENT OF 50,000 TO SUPPORT A NETWORK NAVIGATOR TO HELP GUIDE THE NONPROFITS IN THE NETWORK ON ACHIEVING SUCCESS.
GRANTS TOTALING 39,150 WERE MADE TO THE SUPPORTED ORGANIZATION TO BUILD THE PERMANENT ENDOWMENT OF THE WOMEN'S FUND OF EAST TENNESSEE. IN TURN THE ENDOWMENT MADE A GRANT TO THE WOMEN'S FUND OF EAST TENNESSEE IN THE AMOUNT OF 159,600 TO HELP WITH ITS MISSION AND GRANTMAKING.
