THE PACIFIC FLYWAY, ONE OF FOUR FLYWAYS IN NORTH AMERICA, IS AN AERIAL SUPERHIGHWAY THAT RUNS FROM THE ARCTIC TO PATAGONIA AND IS TRAVELED BY A BILLION MIGRATORY BIRDS. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO INSPIRE THE CONSERVATION OF THE PACIFIC FLYWAY. THE CENTER SITS IN AN IDEAL INTERFACE BETWEEN HUMAN CULTURE AND A GLOBALLY SIGNIFICANT NATURAL WETLAND AREA. THE PACIFIC FLYWAY PROJECT IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND CONSISTS OF 3 PHASES: PHASE 1) DEVELOP THE WALK IN THE MARSH TAKING VISITORS THROUGH 124 ACRES OF RESTORED AND ENHANCED WETLANDS ON A MILE OF GRAVEL TRAILS AND 4,500 LINEAR FEET OF RAISED BOARDWALKS; PHASE 2) BUILD A 23,000 SQUARE FOOT WONDERS OF WILDLIFE BUILDING WHICH WILL INCLUDE EXHIBITS, CAFE, MEDIA ROOM, AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES; AND PHASE 3) BUILD AN ADDITIONAL 74,0000 SQUARE FOOT BUILDING TO HOUSE MAIN EXHIBITS DISPLAYS, LEARNING, AND EDUCATIONAL CLASSROOMS, LECTURE AREAS AND A LARGE THEATER. WALK IN THE MARSH IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED BY SPRING 2023 TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR TOURS AND YOUTH EDUCATION.
