WE ARE AN OUTDOOR EDUCATION SUPPORT ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES DIRECT SERVICES TO TEACHERS AND THEIR CLASSES, AND THE COMMUNITY. WE ALSO WORK DIRECTLY WITH FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY TO HELP THEM GET HOME-BASED GARDENS AND TO PROVIDE VIRTUAL CUSTOMIZED SUPPORT.

OUTDOOR LEARNING DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR: OUR OUTDOOR EDUCATION SPECIALISTS WORK DIRECTLY WITH TEACHERS AND THEIR STUDENTS BI-WEEKLY, PROVIDING STANDARDS-ALIGNED LESSONS IN SCIENCE, MATH, HEALTH AND NUTRITION THROUGHOUT THE SCHOOL YEAR.


EDIBLE EDUCATION DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR: STUDENTS LEARN THE FULL SOIL TO TABLE CYCLE AND UNDERSTAND HOW OUR BODIES ARE CONNECTED T OUR PLANET THROUGH THE FOOD WE EAT AND HOW WE CARE FOR OUR EARTH. STUDENTS ENGAGE IN THE SENSORY DELIGHT OF PREPARING FRESH FOOD IN LESSONS THAT REINFORCE CROSS-CURRICULAR ACADEMIC LEARNING.


PEAS COMMUNITY FARM & URBAN ORCHARD IN SOUTH AUSTIN IS A 2,400 SQ. FT. COMMUNITY GARDEN DESIGNED TO FOSTER RELATIONSHIPS AND PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY AND STEWARDSHIP THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION FOR THE COMMUNITY AND STUDENTS AT CUNNINGHAM ELEMENTARY. FARM MEMBERS SHARE IN THE MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES AND GET TO "HARVEST AT THEIR LEISURE" PRIVILEGES.
