PROVIDED A FORUM WHERE MICHIGAN RESIDENTS, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR SKILL-SET, SHARE THEIR DESIGN OF A PHYSICAL PRODUCT THAT IMPROVE AND BEAUTIES THE LIVES OF MICHIGAN'S CITIZENS. IN ADDITION THE COUNCIL HAS DEVELOPED A CURRICULUM GUIDE TO HELP TEACHERS FOSTER THE CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE'S YOUTH AND THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF THE ROLE THAT INDUSTRIAL DESIGNERS PLAY, IN NOT ONLY MAKING PRODUCTS THAT ARE NOVEL AND USEFUL, BUT ALSO IN ADDRESSING ISSUES THAT CAN BENEFIT SOCIETY.
