THE FOUNDATION'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS IN RURAL AREAS THAT LIVE IN COCHISE, PIMA, AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTIES. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE WELCOMED FROM ALL STUDENTS NO MATTER THEIR GRADE POINT AVERAGE OR THE HIGH SCHOOL THEY ATTEND. THE FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON RECIPIENTS THAT ARE IN FINANCIAL NEED, BUT ALSO SUPPORTS STUDENTS FROM ALL DEMOGRAPHICS. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ALSO AWARDED TO STUDENTS ALREADY ENROLLED IN COLLEGE OR TRADE/VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS. THE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED EACH YEAR VARY FROM ONE-YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS TO FOUR-YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS DEPENDING ON THE STUDENT AND THE FIELD OF STUDY.
THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS 4-H AND FFA PROGRAMS BY ATTENDING ANNUAL 4-H COUNTY FAIRS IN COCHISE, PIMA AND SANTA CRUZ COUNTIES AND PURCHASING ANIMALS FROM THE YOUTH. ANIMALS ARE DONATED BACK TO THE 4-H PROGRAM, WHICH ALLOWS THEM TO GENERATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THEIR PROGRAM. THE PURCHASE OF THESE ANIMALS ASSISTS THE YOUTH IN SAVING FOR THEIR COLLEGE EDUCATION AND TEACHES THEM RESPONSIBILITY AND MONEY MANAGEMENT. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES FUNDING TO 4-H AND FFA PROGRAMS FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS OR EVENTS.
