MUCH OF OUR COVERAGE DURING THE YEAR FOCUSED ON THE HISTORIC RISE IN GUN VIOLENCE DURING THE PANDEMIC, COMMUNITY-LED INTERVENTIONS, AND POLICYMAKERS' UNEVEN RESPONSES TO THE CRISIS. WE ALSO CONTINUED OUR INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING ON THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION AND COMPLETED A SERIES OF ARTICLES ON THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS, AND EXPLOSIVES' FAILURE TO REGULATE GUN DEALERS. OTHER STORIES EXPOSED LOOPHOLES IN PROTECTIONS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS AND SHORTCOMINGS IN VICTIMS COMPENSATION PROGRAMS.
