TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEN AND WOMEN IN THE TELEVISION AND RADIO BROADCAST INDUSTRY AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO, THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, ARE IN ACUTE NEED. THE FOUNDATION REACHES OUT ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO IDENTIFY AND PROVIDE ANONYMOUS ASSISTANCE IN CASES OF CRITICAL ILLNESS, ADVANCED AGE, DEATH OF A SPOUSE, ACCIDENT AND SERIOUS MISFORTUNE.

BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA HAS TWO TYPES OF GRANT PROGRAMS. OUR MONTHLY GRANTS SUPPORT BROADCASTING PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO WORK DUE TO AN ILLNESS, ACCIDENT, OR OTHER MISFORTUNE. OUR EMERGENCY GRANTS SUPPORT THOSE AFFECTED BY NATURAL DISASTERS AND HOME EMERGENCIES.DURING THE CALENDAR YEAR THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED A TOTAL OF $1,763,325 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO PROFESSIONAL MEN AND WOMEN IN THE BROADCAST INDUSTRY. CHECKS ARE DISBURSED MONTHLY TO BENEVOLENT GRANTEES ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND EMERGENCY GRANTS ARE ISSUED WHEN THE NEED ARISES.
