TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEN AND WOMEN IN THE TELEVISION AND RADIO BROADCAST INDUSTRY AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO, THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN, ARE IN ACUTE NEED. THE FOUNDATION REACHES OUT ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO IDENTIFY AND PROVIDE ANONYMOUS ASSISTANCE IN CASES OF CRITICAL ILLNESS, ADVANCED AGE, DEATH OF A SPOUSE, ACCIDENT AND SERIOUS MISFORTUNE.

BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA'S SOLE PROGRAM SERVICE IS TO HELP BROADCASTERS IN THE TELEVISION AND RADIO INDUSTRY WHO ARE IN ACUTE NEED. DURING THE CALENDAR YEAR THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED 202 PROFESSIONAL MEN AND WOMEN IN THE BROADCAST INDUSTRY WITH A TOTAL OF $1,802,350 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. CHECKS ARE DISBURSED MONTHLY TO BENEVOLENT GRANTEES ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND EMERGENCY GRANTS ARE ISSUED WHEN THE NEED ARISES.
