DESERT CAT RESCUE & SANCTUARY OF ARIZONA IS A NO-KILL ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO ANIMAL RESCUE WORK; ADOPTIONS, REDUCING OVERPOPULATION, STOPPING ANIMAL ABUSE AND PREVENTING THE NEGLECT OF DOMESTIC COMPANION ANIMALS. WE SERVING THE VOICELESS BECAUSE THEY MATTER.

WE ARE A PETSMART CHARITY AND WE HAVE AN ADOPTION CENTER AT PETSMART IN TUCSON. WE TAKE IN SURRENDERED, LOST AND STRAY KITTIES. WE FULLY VET THEM: SPAY/NEUTER, SNAP TESTED, FVRCP & RABIES VACCINATIONS AND MICRO-CHIPPED. WE ALSO HAVE A SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM. OUR SENIORS ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE ON THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF OWNING A PET. WE TAKE AWAY THE FINANCIAL BURDEN AND PROVIDE THE NECESSARY SUPPLIES AND VET CARE. ALL THEY NEED TO SUPPLY IS THE HOME AND LOVE. MANY OF OUR ADOBTERS HAVE CHILDREN. WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH THE LIBRARY AND OFFER A READING PROGRAM FOR THESE CHILDREN. WHEN SOMEONE WITH CHILDREN ADOBTS A KITTY FROM US BETWEEN THE AGE OF 0 - 12 THEY ARE GIVEN A BOOK BAG WITH NEW BOOKS, COURTESY OF THE LIBRARY, SO THEY CAN GO HOME AND READ TO THEIR NEW BEST FRIEND. THE BOOK BAGS WILL INCLUDE AGE APPROPRIATE PET CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CHILDREN TOO. OUR PETSMART PARTNERS WILL ALSO BE ADDING TO THE BAGS TREATS AND TOYS FOR THE KITTIES.
