BOOTS2ROOTS HAS ONE MISSION AND ONE PROGRAM AND THAT IS TO PREPARE MILITARY MEMBERS TRANSITIONING FROM ACTIVE DUTY TO FIND MEANINGFUL WORK IN MAINE WHILE PROVIDING A PIPELINE OF TALENT TO MAINE EMPLOYERS. WE ARE THE ONLY ORGANIZATION IN MAINE SPECIFICALLY FOCUSED ON WORKING WITH ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY MEMBERS AND THEIR SPOUSES UP TO A YEAR BEFORE THEY COME TO MAINE. WE PROVIDE PERSONALIZED EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION, NETWORKING, AND BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY CONNECTION SERVICES SO OUR CLIENTS (WE CALL THEM TEAMMATES) CAN QUICKLY FIND MEANINGFUL EMPLOYMENT WHEN THEY GET TO MAINE AND GAIN AND MAINTAIN FINANCIAL STABILITY QUICKLY. BOOTS2ROOTS' TWO PRIMARY GOALS ARE THAT OUR TEAMMATES ARE EMPLOYED WITHIN TWO MONTHS OF ARRIVING IN MAINE AND THAT THEY REMAIN IN THEIR FIRST POST-MILITARY JOB FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. BOOTS2ROOTS IS A PROVEN AND SCALABLE MODEL THAT IS GENERATING SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER RESULTS FOR OUR TEAMMATES THAN NATIONAL AVERAGES. WE HAVE A CONSISTENT RATE OF EMPLOYMENT OF 88% WITHING 8 WEEKS OF ARRIVING IN MAINE AND 100% WITHIN 20 WEEKS, WHILE THE AVERAGE UNEMPLOYMENT DURATION IN THE U.S. IS OVER 22 WEEKS.
