SOUTHEAST BRAZIL MISSIONS ANNUAL REPORTDURING THE REPORT PERIOD THE SOUTHEAST BRAZIL MISSION WAS ABLE TO MINISTER TO BRAZIL PROJECTS ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS PRESENTED.WE RECEIVED A REQUEST FROM THE MISSIONARY,ANA MERCIA DOS SANTOS, OF THE NATIONAL MISSIONS BOARD, BRAZILIAN BAPTIST CONVENTION, TO HELP WITH HER MINISTRY IN THE CITY OF ARAPIRACA, LOCATED IN THE INTERIOR OF THE STATE OF ALAGOAS, BRAZIL. WE WERE ABLE TO HELP IN TWO LOW INCOME AREAS.UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO A NEAR FATAL ATTACK OF COVID-19, WHEN REV. MICHAEL G. COLLINS WAS TAKEN FROM THE CITY OF ARAPIRACA TO THE JAPANESE-BRAZILIAN HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF SAO PAULO, BRAZIL FOR TREATMENT, OUR WORK STOPPED.AN OFFERING OF $500.00 WAS GIVEN TO THE MISSIONARY, ANA MERCIA DOS SANTOS, OF THE NATIONAL MISSION BOARD OF THE BRAZILIAN BAPTIST CONVENTION, TO HELP WITH COSTS OF EXTRA EDUCATION MATERIALS FOR CHILDREN.DURING 2022 SOME OFFICE EQUIPMENT WAS REPLACED BY THE PURCHASE OF A COMPUTER AND PRINTER.A GIFT OF $2,500 WAS RECEIVED AND DESIGNATED TO HELP WITH TRAVEL AND HOSPITALITY COSTS IN BRAZIL. THIS REPORT, AS WELL AS THE FINANCIAL REPORT, WAS PRESENTED TO THE TRUSTEES ON FEBRUARY 20, 2023 AND APPROVED.
