LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS IN COLOMBIA AND BEYOND ARE MAKING PROGRESS IN EXPANDING CHRISTIAN WITNESS AND MINISTRY, AND IN IMPROVING THE LIFE OF POOR AND DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR INNOVATIVE APPROACHES AND HARD WORK. THE FOUNDATION EXISTS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE AND IMPACT PEOPLE'S LIVES WITH THE GOSPEL BY SUPPORTING SUCH ORGANIZATIONS AND THE COMMUNITIES THEY SERVE THAT ARE IN GREAT NEED YET HAVE AMAZING POTENTIAL TO EXCEED EXPECTATIONS.THE FOUNDATION AIDS THESE COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING FUNDING AND OTHER SUPPORT TO EXCEPTIONAL AND SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL AND MINISTRY WORK BEING DONE BY LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, SUCH AS HEALTH CLINICS, CHURCH PLANTING AND EVANGELISM MINISTRIES, AND SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS SERVING VULNERABLE AND AT-RISK GROUPS, SUCH AS YOUTH AND THE HOMELESS MINISTRIES. THE FOUNDATION GIVES SPECIAL EMPHASIS TO PROJECTS IN WHICH LOCAL PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS HAVE PUT IN THEIR OWN RESOURCES, FUNDS, AND/OR EFFORT, IN ORDER TO DEMONSTRATE A SENSE OF COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP AND MAXIMIZE THE IMPACT OF FOUNDATION GRANTS.
