OUR MISSION IS TO END THE NEEDLESS AND HORRIBLE SUFFERING AND KILLING OF DOGS AND CATS IN THE METRO NEW ORLEANS AREA BY: 1) PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY VETERINARY CARE AT SIGNIFICANTLY DISCOUNTED PRICES TO HELP MIDDLE AND LOW-INCOME PET OWNERS BETTER CARE FOR AND AFFORD TO KEEP THEIR PETS; ESPECIALLY PET OWNERS WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A VETERINARIAN. 2) OFFERING HIGH VOLUME, LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER SIMILAR TO AUSTIN, JACKSONVILLE, AND ASHVILLE, CITIES THAT HAVE LOWERED THEIR EUTHANASIA RATES TO BELOW 10%. 3) CREATING A "REAL WORLD" TEACHING FACILITY FOR TULANE'S AB FREEMAN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND LSU'S SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE. 4) BECOMING A RESOURCE FOR OTHER ANIMAL WELFARE GROUPS WHO NEED AFFORDABLE SPAY/NEUTER AND VETERINARY CARE. 5) SPUR OUR NEIGHBORHOOD'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITH VETERINARY CARE, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, INCREASED CONSUMER TRAFFIC, AND HIGHER PROPERTY VALUES. 6) OPENING A PET FOOD BANK FOR SUPPLEMENTAL PET FOOD FOR SPAYED/NEUTERED ANIMALS OF LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS.
