THE MISSION OF HMYP IS TO INVOLVE THE COMMUNITIES OF LINCOLN COUNTY, NM IN PROVIDING A COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY NET FOR HOMELESS STUDENTS. THIS COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY NET WILL INCLUDE AN EVENING DROP-IN CENTER, AN OVERNIGHT SHELTER, AND RELATED SERVICES.

THE EVENING DROP IN CENTER SERVES DISPLACED AND HOMELESS STUDENTS. SUTDENTS ARE ABLE TO ACCESS FREE RESOURCES AFTER SCHOOL HOURS DAILY TO HELP THEM STAY IN SCHOOL AND GRADUATE. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS PROVIDE HOMEWORK HELP, TUTORING, ACTIVITIES, SNACKS TRANSPORTATION AND POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT.
