BUILDING NEW CIRCLES: IN 2021, THE POLICY CIRCLE CONTINUED TO EXPAND IT'S NATIONWIDE GROWTH WITH 375 CIRCLES IN 44 STATES. EXPANSION, RECRUITMENT, ONBOARDING AND TRAINING OF CIRCLE LEADERS CONTINUED, INCLUDING A FRAMEWORK TO FACILITATE CIVIL CONVERSATIONS ABOUT BRIEF TOPICS. THE POLICY CIRCLE'S PROPRIETARY WEBSITE OFFERS EDUCATION TO CIRCLE LEADERS AND IT'S MEMBERS, ALONG WITH THE ABILITY TO MANAGE CIRCLE MEMBERSHIP, SCHEDULE MEETINGS, AND POST FEEDBACK.
INFORMING AND EQUIPPING THE CIRCLES: THE POLICY CIRCLE'S BRIEF LIBRARY HAS EXPANDED TO OFFERING OVER 55 BRIEFS TO IT'S MEMBERSHIP. IN ADDITION TO THE BRIEFS, THE POLICY CIRCLE OFFERS ROBUST EDUCATION THROUGH THEIR BLOG, SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS, NEWSLETTERS, NEWS BRIEFS AND IMPACT REPORTS.
DEVELOPING COMMUNITY LEADERS: THE CIVIC LEADERSHIP ENGAGEMENT ROADMAP (CLER) IS A PROPRIETARY, EXPERIENTIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM, THAT TAKES PARTICIPANTS FROM HAVING GENERAL CIVIC KNOWLEDGE TO BECOMING CIVIC LEADERS. THE INNOVATIVE, ACTION ORIENTED CURRICULUM WAS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE, PREPARE, AND BULD THE NEXT GENERATION OF CIVIC LEADERS. THE CURRICULUM FACILITATES AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE AMERICAN FOUNDING AND FEATURES INDIVIDUAL COACHING, MASTERMIND PEER GROUPS, NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, AND SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO BUILD LOCAL CONNECTIONS WITH POLICY LEADERS AND DECISION MAKERS. THERE ARE THREE COURSES AVAILABLE IN CLER: 1.0 FOCUSES ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT, 2.0 ON STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, AND 3.0 ON EDUCATION.
ACTIVATING THE CIRCLES: THE POLICY CIRCLE ACTIVATES ENGAGEMENT THROUGH IT'S SEVEN STATE LEADERSHIP COUNCILS, WHO HELP TO EXPAND AND ENGAGE THE ORGANIZATION AT A LOCAL LEVEL. REGIONAL EVENTS HELP MEMBERS TO CONNECT AND ENGAGE WITH CIRCLE LEADERS AND MEMBERS ACROSS THEIR STATE. THE POLICY CIRCLE'S ANNUAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT GATHERS WOMEN TO DISCUSS POLICY, HEAR FROM SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS, AND CONNECT WITH MEMBERS NATIONWIDE. THE POLICY CIRCLE'S 2021 SUMMIT WAS A HYBRID EVENT HOSTED IN PERSON AND ONLINE, WITH OVER 700 ATTENDEES ENROLLED TO PARTICIPATE.
