WORKING TO HELP THE STRAY ANIMAL POPULATION OF THE HOUSTON AREA THROUGH SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAMS AND TRANSPORT ADOPTIONS. LOLA'S PULLS ANIMALS FROM THE HARRIS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER AND OTHER LOCAL SHELTERS AND FINDS THEM LOVING NEW HOMES THROUGH OUR ADOPTION NETWORK. MOST OF THE DOGS ARE TRANSPORTED TO WISCONSIN VIA LOLA'S VEHICLES AND ADOPTED OUT LOCALLY THERE.

ADOPTION PROGRAM - LOLA'S LUCKY DAY TRANSPORTS DOGS FROM TEXAS TO WISCONSIN VIA THEIR TRANSPORT VEHICLES. EACH ANIMAL TRANSPORTED HAS A TEXAS VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE. EACH DOG IS UP TO DATE ON VACCINES AND SHOTS. IN 2021, THE RESCUE TRANSPORTED OVER 1,100 DOGS TO ADOPTIVE FAMILIES IN THE WISCONSIN AREA.


DOG COMFORT PROGRAM - LOLA'S LUCKY DAY PROVIDES THE RESCUED DOGS WITH FOOD, WATER, SHELTER, BEDDING, AND PLENTY OF TOYS. THE RESCUE ALSO PROVIDES THE DOGS' CARETAKERS WITH ALL THE SUPPLIES FOR CLEANING AND TAKING CARE OF THE DOG. FOSTERS (DOGS' CARETAKERS) ARE GIVEN CRATES AND ANY OTHER SUPPLIES THEY NEED TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH THE DOG. LOLA'S LUCKY DAY ALSO HAS ONE HOUSE WHERE UP TO FIVE DOGS STAY AT A TIME. LOLA'S LUCKY DAY IS A FOSTER BASED PROGRAM AND FOSTERED OVER 1,250 DOGS IN 2021.


VETERINARY PROGRAM - RESCUED DOGS FROM THE STREET AND ONES PULLED FROM THE ANIMAL SHELTERS ARE TAKEN TO VET FOR INITIAL EXAM. RABBIES VACCINATIONS ARE ADMINISTERED ALONG WITH ANY OTHER RECOMMENDED SHOTS/VACCINES THAT ARE REQUIRED. EACH DOG IS MICROCHIPPED. TRAVELLING DOGS ARE ISSUED HEALTH CERTIFICATES. HEARTWORM PREVENTATIVE AND FLEA/TICK MEDICATION IS ALSO GIVE TO THE DOGS. ELIGIBLE DOGS ARE SPAYED OR NEUTERED.
