TACCHO ADVOCATES FOR BEST PRACTICES AND PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL OPINIONS ON LEGISLATIVE MATTERS RELATED TO PUBLIC HEALTH. TACCHO ALSO CONDUCTS EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS AND PREPARES AND DISTRIBUTES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS TO FEDERAL AND STATE LEGISLATORS.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE - TACCHO HOLDS AN ANNUAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP TO INCREASE THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES OF DIRECTORS AND THEIR STAFF TO ACCESS, PLAN, DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT AND EVALUATE PUBLIC HEALTH PROGRAMS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.
MEMBERSHIPS - TACCHO IS COMMITTED TO PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTICE IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND ASSISTING MEMBERS IN REACHING THEIR GOALS. AS ADVOCATES FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF TEXANS, TACCHO FUNCTIONS AS AN INFORMATION RESOURCE BY MONITORING AND RESEARCHING PUBLIC HEALTH NEWS, LAWS, TRENDS AND RELATED ACTIONS TO KEEP MEMBERS UPDATED ON THE EVENTS THAT EFFECT THEIR EVERYDAY OPERATIONS.
