SENIOR RESOURCES AND DAY CENTER DAY CENTER SERVICES - SENIORS ARE WELCOME TO STAY, REST, AND RENEW PRIOR TO GOING BACK OUT ON THE STREETS. THE SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE SHOWERS, LAUNDRY, TWO DAILY MEALS, AND COMPUTER LAB/ACCESS FOR ENTERTAINMENT, WORK SEARCH, NEWS, APARTMENT SEARCHES, AND COMMUNICATION WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. AN AVERAGE OF 1,300 CLIENTS ARE SEEN ANNUALLY, AVERAGING ON-SITE ATTENDANCE OF 125 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS EACH DAY. NURSES CLINIC - THE CLINIC PROVIDES MEDICAL SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND TRIAGE FOR SENIORS WITH HEALTH CONCERNS, INJURIES, OR OTHER ISSUES RELATED TO THEIR WELLBEING. THIS INCLUDES COVID TESTING AND IMMUNIZATIONS, FLU SHOTS, MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION, AND OTC MEDICINES. CARE SERVICES - WRAP AROUND SERVICES FOR HIGHLY-VULNERABLE (HEALTH, ADDICTION, POVERTY) SENIORS WHO RETURN TO HOUSING INCLUDE A STARTER-KIT (NEW TWIN BED/MATTRESS, FLOOR LAMP, LINENS AND TOWELS, AND KITCHEN ESSENTIALS) TO HELP THEM GET ESTABLISHED. THE VOLUNTEER AMBASSADORS OF CARE, DELIVER OVER 150 BAGS OF GROCERIES EACH WEEK AS WELL AS PROVIDING ESSENTIAL SUPPORT TO RETAIN HOUSING. GROCERIES, READY TO HEAT AND EAT MEALS, AND PAPER GOODS AND CLEANING SUPPLIES NOT COVERED BY FOOD STAMPS, INCREASE FUNDS TO PAY RENT AND UTILITIES, MEDICAL COPAYS, AND PRESCRIPTION COSTS. PATH TO HOUSING - WORKING WITH A CASE MANAGER AND SUPPORT SERVICE PERSONNEL, SENIORS ARE QUALIFIED FOR AVAILABLE FUNDING, PROVIDED OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOW-COST LIVING, AND GET DOCUMENT READY TO MOVE IN. OVER 250 INDIVIDUALS WERE RETURNED TO HOUSING; 200 INDIVIDUALS WERE HELPED TO GET STATE ID; 157 BIRTH CERTIFICATES WERE ORDERED; AND OVER 500 SENIORS BEGAN THE PROCESS TO RETURN TO HOUSING. MIND/BODY PROGRAMS - PROVIDE ACCESS TO EMERGENCY CLOTHING, COATS, SURVIVAL GEAR SUCH AS SLEEPING BAGS AND TARPS, WATER. ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL SERVICES INCLUDE A CHAPEL SERVICE, OCCASIONAL CRAFT ACTIVITIES, AND READING MATERIALS AND PUZZLES TO KEEP MINDS SHARP.
