THE NATIONAL RURAL LENDERS ASSOCIATION (NRLA) FILED WITH THE STATE OF LOUISIANA SECRETARY OF STATE ON NOVEMBER 10, 2014, WITH AROUND 12 MEMBERS. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2021, MEMBERSHIP HAS GROWN TO APPROXIMATELY 60 MEMBERS.THE NRLA BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAD A MONTHLY TELECONFERENCE WITH THOSE DIRECTORS AVAILABLE TO DISCUSS NRLA PROJECTIONS AND PROPOSALS. THE NRLA HAD ITS SEVENTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN OCTOBER OF 2021 WITH APPROXIMATELY 100 ATTENDEES. THE PURPOSE OF NRLA IS TO ADVOCATE FOR USDA GUARANTEED LENDING PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. GUARANTEED LENDING IS AN OFTEN OVERLOOKED RESOURCE FOR THE NEEDED CAPITAL FOR BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITIES IN RURAL AMERICA THAT OFTEN GOES UNMET. VARIOUS GUARANTEED LENDING PROGRAMS FILL AN IMPORTANT GAP IN ACCESS TO CAPITAL FOR RURAL BUSINESSES, COMMUNITIES, AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT AND TRIBAL ENTITIES.
