THE CORPORATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE, EDUCATE, AND SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS AND ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN SOUTH DAKOTA'S TRUST AND ESTATE PLANNING INDUSTRY.

THE SDTA HELD A LEGISLATIVE SOCIAL EVENT, IN WHICH MEMBERS OF THE SDTA DISCUSSED THE TRUST INDUSTRY AND ITS BENEFITS WITH LEGISLATORS ACROSS THE STATE. THE SDTA USED ITS PREVIOUSLY PREPARED EDUCATIONAL INFOGRAPHIC TO REITERATE TO LEGISLATORS THE POSSIBILITIES WITHIN THE TRUST INDUSTRY FOR THOSE IN COLLEGE THINKING OF PURSUING A CAREER IN THE TRUST FIELD. THE SDTA SUPPORTED PHILANTHROPY AS WELL, WITH AN EYE ON MEETING NEEDS OF THOSE LESS FORTUNATE ACROSS THE STATE, BY SUPPORTING THE SOUTH DAKOTA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION. IN THE FALL OF 2023, THE SDTA AGAIN HOSTED A FALL FORUM EDUCATIONAL EVENT AS A WAY TO PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION TO ATTENDEES ON A BROAD RANGE OF TOPICS. INDIVIDUALS WERE ABLE TO ATTEND THE EVENT IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY. THE SDTA CONTINUED TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS THROUGH A FUND WITH THE SOUTH DAKOTA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION.
