STUDENTS OF SERVICE (SOS) DEVELOPS YOUNG LEADERS WHO HAVE A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE TO SOLVE LOCAL PROBLEMS. OUR PROGRAMS COMBINE MEANINGFUL LOCAL COMMUNITY SERVICE WITH INFORMED INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES.

EXPLORE PROGRAM:THROUGH INFORMED INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCES, SOS BELIEVES THAT STUDENTS GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORLD THEY LIVE IN, AND GAIN EXPERIENCES THAT WILL INFLUENCE THEM FOR A LIFETIME. IN CALENDAR YEAR 2023:-34 STUDENTS TRAVELED ABROAD TO THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: ECUADOR, THE GALAPAGOS, AND SOUTHERN EUROPE-24% OF THE TRAVELERS EARNED A SCHOLARSHIP THROUGH SOS, WHICH AMOUNTED TO $25,000 HELPING OFFSET THE TRAVEL COSTS FOR THE TRAVELERS.-HOSTED 34 STUDENTS FROM 11 EUROPEAN COUNTRIES FOR A SISTER CITIES INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM.

LEARN PROGRAM:LEARNING IS WHAT TIES ALL SOS PROGRAMS TOGETHER. SOS TAKES EDUCATOIN OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM BY PROVIDING STUDENTS OPPORTUNITIES TO VISIT MUSEUMS, TOURS, AND SEMINARS. SOS ALSO INTEGRATES STUDENT VOICES THROUGH THE STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL AND ITS RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVING OUR PROGRAMS.
