SCHOLARSHIPS: THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN PROJECT DIRECTLY AWARDED NINE (9) SCHOLARSHIPS RANGING FROM $500 TO $1,000 TO FEMALE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN TALBOT COUNTY. ALSO, SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS WERE CONTRIBUTED TO A PRIVATE (501 (C) 3 FOUNDATION WHICH USES DONOR'S CONTRIBUTIONS TO AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS TO FEMALE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH: THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN PROJECT USED RESOURCES TO SUPPORT EFFORTS OF VARIOUS COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE MISSION IS EMPOWERMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF FEMALES AND YOUTH. YOUTH HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN RECREATIONAL ACTIVITES. THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN PROJECT WORKED WITH TWO (2) WOMEN'S RECOVERY FACILITIES IN QUEEN ANNE'S AND TALBOT COUNTIES. ALSO, MEALS WERE PREPARED AND DELIVERED TO LIGHTHOUSE SHELTER IN ANNAPOLIS MD AND EASTON FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND INTERFAITH SHELTER IN EASTON MD.
