THE UNITED FOOD AND COMMERCIAL WORKERS (UFCW) CHARITY FOUNDATION (THE FOUNDATION) SUPPORTS ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO END HUNGER IN AMERICA AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT AIM TO RAISE AWARENESS, SUPPORT, AND FUNDING FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST BLOOD CANCERS AND DISEASES. IN ADDITION TO SUPPORTING EXTERNAL CHARITABLE CAUSES, THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND EMERGENCY HARDSHIP RELIEF FOR UFCW MEMBERS AND THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO DONATES TO OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AS DETERMINED BY ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS.


THE FOUNDATION IS THE GRANTEE OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FARM AND FOOD WORKERS RELIEF GRANT THAT PROVIDES FOR $600 RELIEF PAYMENTS TO ELIGIBLE FARM AND FOOD WORKERS. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO DEFRAY WORKER EXPENSES INCURRED PREPARING FOR, PREVENTING EXPOSURE TO, AND RESPONDING TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE FOUNDATION IS ASSISTING WITH THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS PROGRAM.
