OTHER BENEFITING THE TEENS AND COMMUNITY
PURPOSE PAYS-PROVIDE PAID INTERNSHIPS TO STUDENTS BY PROVIDING WORKFORCE SKILLS AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES TO STUDENTS
BOUT DAT ACTION-COMMUNITY OUTREACH TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE TEEN NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY. PART OF THE GREAT IDEAS INITIATIVE WAS TO EXPAND THE AMOUNT OF TEENS THAT CAN BE SERVED. WE EXPANDED TO APPROXIMATELY 500 STUDENTS BENEFITTED. THIS PROGRAM ALSO ALLOWS ENROLLED STUDENTS TO PRACTICE LEADERSHIP AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND LEARN THE INNER WORKINGS OF STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS. THIS PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES PROVIDING HELP FOR COMMUNITY NEIGHBORS IN NEED THROUGH NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS FUND.
