LYTE PROVIDES FIVE TIERS OF AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER ACADEMIC CLASSES TO PREPARE LOW-INCOME AND MINORITY STUDENTS FOR RIGOROUS HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS, AND COLLABORATES WITH OVER 50 SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT DELAWARE TO ADVOCATE FOR THESE STUDENTS AND CREATE ALTERNATIVE PATHWAYS FOR THEM. LYTE ASSISTS STUDENTS IN NAVIGATING THE HIGH SCHOOL CHOICE PROCESS AND TO GAIN ACCESS TO TOP HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS. LYTE GUIDES STUDENTS THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL WITH TRANSITION SUPPORT, ACADEMIC TUTORING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, SOCIO-EMOTIONAL TRAINING, INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND ADVOCACY. ALMOST ALL LYTE SCHOLARS WILL BE THE FIRST-GENERATION TO ATTEND COLLEGE IN THEIR FAMILIES, AND LYTE WORKS WITH THEM AND THEIR PARENTS TO GUIDE THEM THROUGH THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS AND FINANCIAL AID PROCESSES.
