PROVDING FACE-TO-FACE AND TELE SUPPORT SERVICES TO 350 CHILDREN WHO ARE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING THROUGHOUT OREGON. ONE THIRD LIVE IN RURAL AREAS AND MORE THAN HALF ARE FROM LOW INCOME HOMES. FAMILIES RECEIVE GUIDANCE ON HOW TO SUPPORT THEIR CHILD'S ONGOING DEVELOPMENT. FAMILIES ALSO RECEIVE REOUSRCE MATERIALS AND CHILDREN BOOKS.
MONITORING THE STATEWIDE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EARLY HEARING DETECTION AND INTERVENTION PROGRAM IN OREGON. MORE THAN 48,000 SCREENINGS WERE TRACKED, 1260 CHILDREN WERE REFERRED FOR FOLLOW UP, AND 92 WERE IDENTIFIED WITH A HEARING LOSS.
PROVIDED EDUATIONAL AUDIOLOGY SERVICES TO 67 STUDENTS WHO ARE DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING ATTENDING 31 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS IN RURAL OREGON. SUPPORTED THE USE OF REMOTE MICROPHONES IN THE CLASSROOM. TRAINED CLASSROOM TEACHERS AND TEACHERS OF THE DEAF IN DEVICE TROUBLESHOOTING
