THE COUNCIL IS ORGANIZED TO ADVANCE THE GROWTH AND PROSPERITY OF THE MEDICAL DEVICE INDUSTRY OF THE MEMPHIS MSA. THE COUNCIL IS TO SPEAK AS ONE VOICE ON MATTERS THAT ARE OF GENERAL IMPORTANCE TO THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY. THE COUNCIL REVIEWS LEGISLATION AND GOVERNMENT POLICIES THAT MAY HAVE AN ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE GROWTH AND SUBSTAINABILITY OF THE INDUSTRY. THE COUNCIL SERVES AS AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ENGINE FOR THE MEMPHIS MSA AND THE STATE OF TENNESSEE. THE COUNCIL IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING PROGRAMS THAT BENEFIT THE OVERALL INDUSTRY THROUGH EDUCATION, INNOVATION, AND TECHNOLOGY AND CAREER PATH CURRICULUMS.
