TO SPEAK HOPE TO AMERICA THROUGH THE FAITH TESTIMONIES OF HAITIAN YOUNG PEOPLE, AND TO BRING HOPE TO HAITI THROUGH SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE PRACTICAL HELP OF EDUCATION, WATER, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE, AND OTHER BASIC NEEDS

SCHOOL OF HOPE: A SCHOOL IN THE MOUNTAINS OF HAITI SERVES NOW 379 STUDENTS IN HAITI. THEY MEET 5 DAYS A WEEK AND RECEIVE A NUTRITIOUS MEAL DURING EACH OF THOSE DAYS. THEY ARE TAUGHT BY QUALIFIED TEACHERS WHO TEACH THROUGH A FRENCH CURRICULUM. THE SCHOOL EMPLOYS ALMOST 30 STAFF MEMBERS WHO ALSO RECEIVE A MEAL EACH DAY AS WELL AS TEACHER TRAINING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. OUR GOALS ARE TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL WORK FOR THEM AND TO GIVE THE CHILDREN A GREAT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION. THIS YEAR, WE WERE ABLE TO BUILD ANOTHER CLASSROOM AS THE NUMBERS WERE TOO MANY FOR THE FACILITIES.
PROVIDING FOOD FOR HOPE HAITIAN CHOIR MEMBERS IN HAITI: WITH SECURITY ISSUES AND HIGH INFLATION, MANY MEMBERS OF OUR CHOIR HAVE OFTEN NOT HAD ENOUGH TO EAT. WE HAVE SENT MONEY TO BUY FOOD FOR THEM. ABOUT 30 FAMILIES WERE ABLE RECEIVE FOOD PACKETS ABOUT EVERY OTHER MONTH IN 2021.
EDUCATION OF HAITIANS IN THE UNITED STATES: WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ASSIST SIX INDIVIDUALS WITH THEIR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE EDUCATION. ONE OF THEM GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN 2021 AND TWO MORE ARE SCHEDULED TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL IN JUNE. ANOTHER PLANS TO GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE IN DECEMBER OF THIS YEAR WITH A DEGREE IN CULINARY ARTS.
